Description
In 204 B.C. Romans created the term Hispanic to identify inhabitants from the Iberian Peninsula which encompasses Spain and Portugal today. Today Hispanics are a mix of European, African and Native American people, and one in seven people in the United States is of Hispanic origin. Join Dick Powell as we become more familiar with the food, music, history and traditions of the Hispanic population. Knowledge of the Spanish language is not required for this class but the study will include some fun and useful Spanish phrases to help extend your experience of this rich culture.
