1:00PM-1:30PM This 20 minute variety show of trick marionettes will delight tourists of all ages. A wide variety of music and a hand painted street scene enhances this delightful cabaret. Watch how the puppeteer pulls the strings to make the dancers, jugglers, trapeze artists and others, come to life...a unique experience!

2:00PM-4:00PM Purdue Extension of Marion County is offering Dining with Diabetes Classes at the following CICOA meal site. Nutrition site clients can sign up with the Neighborhood meal site manager. Classes are 4 days, 2 hours each. September 8, 10 2-4 pm; September 16, 17 9-11 am.

10:00AM-3:00PM The exhibit chronicles Presidential travel by rail, including the journeys of Presidents Lincoln, Garfield, Hayes, McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt. In addition, the exhibit will include many items from the hundreds of gifts presented to Benjamin Harrison's party when making its 1891, 10,000-mile train trip to the West Coast. The exhibit is part of admission to Harrison Home tours. The exhibit is sponsored in part by the Indianapolis Cultural Development Commission.

10:00AM-3:30PM Women's Suffrage Exhibit is featured in the reconstructed carriage house located behind the home on the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site. The mansion's gift shop offers a range of patriotic gifts for many occasions, including Presidential china, ties, mouse pads, cards, bookmarks, books, games, toys, train whistles and train books, souvenirs of the "All Aboard! Making Tracks with the Presidential Train" exhibit.

1:00PM-3:00PM Learn the basic knowledge of painting techniques while also developing your own ideas using acrylic paints with a realistic or abstract interpretation. Students build a strong foundation of composition and color theory that they can carry through to other mediums such as photography and drawing.

6:30PM-9:30PM This is an introductory course for people new to acrylic painting. Crash-course drawing skills are taught to help the hesitant learner. This class offers a friendly, fun environment for finding the artist within you!

7:00PM-10:00PM This class teaches the basics of working with sterling silver and copper. Learn how to cut, solder and polish the silver, as well as set cabochon stones to make earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces, broaches, tie tacks, boxes or any other kind of ornament. This is a class for students with little or no experience, but can serve as a refresher course for those who have worked with metal in the past. 7:00PM-10:00PM Continue developing your glass blowing skills and pursuing personal goals while reinforcing the importance of teamwork and basic assisting skills through several participatory class projects. Demonstrations are limited to allow ample studio time. All aspects of glass working can be explored. Finishing work for presentation will be addressed. Additional technical information will be available. Bring sunglasses and wear a cotton shirt and pants to work the first day. No sandals, shorts or synthetics. Please also keep in mind this studio has high heat temperatures. Please note: No class meeting November 25 due to Thanksgiving.

3:30PM-6:30PM This class focuses on manipulating sheet glass into patterns, murrini, and cane that can be used to make vessels, panels, and other objects. With the murrini, cane, and parts that are made in the hot shop, we create sheets that can be fused into solid tile, which can then be slumped in a kiln or rolled up to create three-dimensional forms. Project time is divided between the hot shop and alternate studio space. Please bring glass cutting tools. Students must provide colored sheet glass.

7:00PM-10:00PM Learn the basics or continue to hone your skills. We will work from the model and from still life. Students may use various media including pastel, conte crayon, charcoal, pencil and ink wash. Lab fee includes model fee. Please note: No class meeting November 25 due to Thanksgiving.
